Cambridge Roller

With the heavy-duty roller, the upper layer of the soil is compacted and leveled, providing the final preparation for seeding. By using the roller before sowing, the smooth operation of the sowing machine and the germination of seeds are ensured. The rollers, during seedbed preparation, compact the upper layer of soil at approximately the seeding depth, preserving moisture and allowing the upward movement of unused moisture for the plant. This ensures better contact between the seed and the soil, facilitating easy germination. Breaking and fragmenting the clods on the soil surface and leveling the surface before sowing prevent the sowing machine from clogging. Additionally, it is used to compact loose soil that has become loose and raised after winter for winter or early spring sowing. Our heavy-duty rollers are available in two types: Tube Type and Solid Type. There are different models with working widths ranging from 4.5 meters to 7 meters. Both tube type and solid type have the same frame structure, but their roller structures differ. The cast roller elements are of the Cambridge type, made of durable and high-quality cast iron.

STANDARD FEATURES

EASY FOLDING

The heavy-duty roller can be quickly and easily switched from working position to transport position. Thanks to its hydraulic system, the wings can be easily opened and closed with the hydraulic cylinder without the need to dismount from the tractor. The transport wheels can also be quickly raised and lowered with the arrow hydraulic cylinder, facilitating the transition between working and transport positions.

FLANGED BEARINGS

The machine uses flanged, externally adjustable, single-row ball bearings suitable for heavy-duty conditions. The adjustable feature allows for proper alignment and prevents breakage. These bearings are also designed for easy lubrication and have a sturdy structure, making them easy to install.

TUBE-TYPE - GEAR ROLLER

The edge profile of the roller is designed in a toothed shape to enhance the shredding effect. It is preferred in heavy soil conditions where the soil is drier and cloddy before seeding.
